The church is affiliated to Forward in Faith.

The PCC has passed resolutions A, B and C. A male celebrant at Mass and Catholic Sacraments are guaranteed.

At 8.30 am on Saturday 25th July 2010 a fire broke out in the Walsingham Chapel at the base of the tower. The contents of the chapel and the first floor of the tower have been lost and the nave suffered smoke and heat damage. Structurally the tower is sound, but two floors will have to be rebuilt.

Work to clean, rewire and redecorate the interior of the church was completed in September 2011 and a delightfully clean and bright nave and chancel are now back in full operation.  Work on phase two - the rebuilding of the interior of the tower, as well as refurbishing the clock and the organ - started in February 2012.
